Recently, Tim McCarren reached out to the American Institute for Stuttering about a documentary that will feature his story as an aspiring actor who stutters. He let us know that in order for the film to be produced, he and the creative team need to raise some money. Tim is a past client of ours, and we're happy to spread the word! Good luck, Tim! Below, you'll see a trailer for the film and a letter from Tim.

Dear Friend/ Family Member,

timmer 7-1 small

The purpose of this letter is to let you know about Leap of Faith, a documentary film that will feature my story of pursuing a career in acting despite, and partly because of, my stutter. The documentary features two other courageous stories as well: a young woman advocating for anti-bullying after a traumatic experience, and someone embracing their life as a transgendered male. The film’s main objective is to explore the following question: What happens when people refuse to live the life others expect of them, face fear, and are true to themselves? Leap of Faith seeks to prove that when people do this they are happier, healthier and, ultimately, more at peace with themselves.

This is an exciting time for me and the film’s creative team because we just launched our campaign on Indiegogo to raise $5,000 for producing the film. It is also a critical time because we will need money to cover production costs for such things as film equipment, insurance, transportation, and food. The more money we raise, the better our chances are at producing this film and shining a light on all the goodness that can come as a direct result of people embracing their destinies and standing up to their fears. It invariably results in a renewed outlook on life, improved health, optimism, and gratitude!

This is an opportunity for you to contribute your financial support toward an important project that may inspire audiences to stand up to fear and live the life they have been imagining! For more information, please click on the following link to visit our campaign page on Indiegogo and watch the trailer. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/317146

Please consider making a donation towards this production. This film cannot be made without your support. Please know that Leap of Faith is a project sponsored by Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions for the purposes of Leap of Faith are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Please send your contributions to: Sarah Ellis 546 Undercliff Avenue Edgewater, NJ 07020. Checks should be made payable to Fractured Atlas with On behalf of Leap of Faith in the memo line.

Thank you for your support. I truly appreciate it.

Sincerely, Tim McCarren
