Helping School-Age Children Who Stutter - A Free Workshop for School SLPs
February 28, 2022
Register for This Event

This free workshop is intended for speech-language pathologists working in school settings. We also invite graduate students and other SLPs who believe they may benefit from learning more on this topic.

Please join Heather Grossman, PhD, CCC-SLP, BCS-F and Carl Herder, MA, CCC-SLP, BCS-F for a presentation and discussion about new therapy approaches for helping and supporting school-aged children who stutter.

We all remember learning about stuttering modification and fluency shaping techniques in grad school. Most of us have also worked with kids who stutter for whom these traditional tools simply do not transfer to real life. We will focus on how to help school-aged kids understand the nature of stuttering, advocate for themselves, and make real changes in their lived experience of stuttering.
