Carl is our Atlanta Clinic Director. He joined AIS in New York in 2006 and worked closely with our founder, Catherine Montgomery for five years. He opened the office in Atlanta, GA in 2016.

Is a Board Certified Specialist in Fluency Disorders, and is currently serving on the American Board of Fluency and Fluency Disorders.

Discovered his passion for stuttering treatment while working on research projects at the University of Central Florida. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Masters Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Is an active researcher and presenter in fluency disorders. He is the first author on a 2006 breakthrough review of behavioral stuttering treatments. This article – and others – have appeared in top research publications around the world.

Regularly attends the NSA Conference (National Stuttering Association) and the FRIENDS Convention (FRIENDS: The National Association for Young People Who Stutter), establishing and maintaining meaningful relationships with people in the stuttering support community.

Lives with his wife, daughter, and son in the Grant Park neighborhood of Atlanta, GA. He’s an avid fan of his alma mater (Charge On UCF!), and loves making fermented hot sauce, reading fantasy/sci-fi novels, and telling dad jokes.
