This interactive, trauma-informed workshop will explore how we respond to undesired listener reactions to stuttering. Led by leading researchers Dr. Hope Gerlach-Houck and Dr. Naomi Rodgers, participants will reflect on real-world experiences and explore how they might wish to respond differently to past microaggressions, while learning about evidence-based options for navigating future ones. Attendees can participate in a variety of ways, including observing, discussing, or engaging in activities, as we explore strategies that foster agency, self-advocacy, and emotional safety during difficult interactions.
Thanks to our generous donors, this event is free and open to the public.
