Phil Garber (1995) is an artist living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Classically trained as a photographer, his practice currently takes the form of sculpture, text, and lens-based works. He is a person who stutters, and stuttering has impacted his practice both tangibly and intangibly. Phil Garber has exhibited at the School of Visual Arts, The Living Gallery, Haul Gallery, and in Mexico City, Mexico. Rotten Beams Make Fertile Soil is his first solo exhibition. Related to his direct practice, Phil Garber has spoken at colleges and universities on the topic of stuttering and has appeared in national print and television media discussing the same.
