Training for Professionals

Catherine Montgomery conducted a clinician training workshop in Slagelese, Denmark along with Tom Gurrister.

"I want to thank you very much for allowing me to spend some time with you in New York. I felt I learned so much, not only about vocal fold management, but also about being a good therapist. It was a great privilege to observe you at work and I am inspired to try out different ways of working with our clients."

- Rachel Everard, MSc, RegMRCSLT,
Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
City Literary Society, London, England

In the future we expect to offer more extensive professional training programs. These will be training opportunities for the seasoned clinician who wishes to expand and develop clinical skills in fluency treatment. The Institute will offer a full range of specialized training in the treatment of stuttering to include:

Extensive training programs in the adolescent/adult intensive, comprehensive therapeutic model.Catherine at Nyborg

One week training programs focused on children's treatment.

Weekend workshops for experienced professionals, focusing on early intervention/stuttering prevention and on treatment of the school aged child. These workshops will be conducted both at the Institute as well as at locations around the U.S. in order to reach more clinicians.

Consultation services to tri-state area school districts.

"As a speech-language pathologist, I studied and researched many treatment approaches for stuttering but it wasn't until I met Catherine Montgomery and studied with her did I find one that actually effects a positive and profound change in clients."
